We would like to say a huge thank you to the Torpoint Lady Singers. The ladies organised a twelve hour Singathon to raise money for Jeremiah’s Journey.
It was a fantastic event on a sunny day in June. Jeremiah opened the event with the Lord Mayor and stayed for most of the day to keep the ladies in good spirits.
The ladies were fabulous, not only did they sing for twelve hours but they got sponsored for doing it. They also baked and sold their own homemade cakes and gained prizes for a raffle.
Many people attended throughout the day and enjoyed a slice of cake and a cup of tea whilst listening to the fantastic sounds of the singers.
In addition to organising the Singathon, the ladies also organised a collection at Sainsburys and a collection on the Torpoint Ferries!
From all their efforts, the ladies raised a grand total of £3406.95!
Jeremiah’s Journey would like to say a big thank you to Sarah, Chris, all the Torpoint Lady Singers and everyone who supported the Singathon.
