Sandra Jones and her brothers, Chris and Paul, raised over £1500 for Jeremiah’s Journey when they sky dived from 15 000 feet at Dunkeswell, near Honiton!
The group decided to jump after seeing a Facebook post asking for people to take up the challenge! They were fundraising in memory of Sandra’s baby daughter, Cara, who died at just 16 months old. Jeremiah’s Journey provided support to Sandra’s family at this difficult time.
Sandra said that, “Being scared of heights, I was stating to wonder what I signed up for. The plane climbed for what felt like ages… It took 10 minutes or so to get up to 15 000 feet and everyone gradually jumped out! However, it was the best experience ever!”
There are spaces left for the skydives on Sunday 27th September and the ‘Santa Skydive’ on Sunday 6th December. The skydives are taking place at Dunkeswell, near Honiton and they are run by Skydive Buzz. Participants that raise £450 can jump for free!
