We would like to say a big thank you to Rob Cowell who recently donated over £500 to Jeremiah’s Journey!
Rob raised this fantastic amount through taking part in the Moor 2 Sea Challenge on Sat 6th September. Rob decided to take the ‘Extreme’ route which was the most challenging route available. The route started and finished at Exeter Racecourse and covered a total distance of approximately 112 miles (180 km) with almost 12,000ft of climbing!
Rob decided to do the challenge to support Jeremiah’s Journey after going along to the Friends of Jeremiah’s Journey Booze Cruise in July. He was very moved when he discovered what we did and decided that he would like to raise some money for us.
It took Rob 10 hrs 38 mins to complete the challenge. Participants are given 11 hours to complete the challenge so he completed it just in time!
It was a great experience and there was some amazing scenery, but there were low points that were mentally challenging. It did get to a stage where I had to walk up a couple climbs, so will be doing it again next year with the aim to stay on my bike!
