This Sunday the 3rd of May the lovely Mark Kinver will be cycling 140km, the equivalent of 86 miles, in the first ever Tour De Yorkshire Sportive in aid of Jeremiah’s Journey!
Like Mark, thousands of cyclists from around the country will be getting in the saddle to experience the gruelling course that follows much of last year’s Tour de France Grand Départ route with its stunning landscapes, iconic cities and tough climbs. It promises to be one of the most challenging and popular sportives in the British calendar.
I do love cycling and try to get out on my bike whenever time and the weather allows – living in the Pennines, it tends to be a summer pursuit! Although my rides take me through the hills, it is nothing compared with the climbs I will have to enjoy (more likely endure!) on Sunday!
Mark and his little girl Lottie, aged 5, are pictured above. His gorgeous little cycling buddy will be cheering her daddy on, this Sunday!
I was in my late 30’s when I lost my Dad to cancer and it was a truly horrid time emotionally. I cannot even begin to imagine how I would have coped as a youngster. That’s why I am hoping to raise a few pennies for JJ, to help ensure that families have the help and support they need at such a desperately sad time.
Mark has never entered a challenge like this before. Please show your support and help Mark smash his target of £280 by visiting his Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/Mark-Kinver/ We would like to wish Mark the best of luck for Sunday! You can do it!
