Have you thought about leaving a gift to charity in your will?
Every year Jeremiah’s Journey supports over 220 bereaved children and their families. Leaving a gift to us in your will would mean that you can help our charity continue to make a difference the lives of local families.
An incredible lasting gift; that will continue to make a difference…
How do I go about leaving a gift in my will?
If you do not already have a will, SW Law Solicitors in Lee Mill are offering a free will writing service. They just ask that you make a donation to one of their nominated charities (minimum of £50).
Jeremiah’s Journey is one of these nominated charities, we are so grateful to them for this support.
Within your will you can state what type of gift you would like to leave. You could leave a percentage of your estate (1% or more); specific cash sum or even leave a specific item such as a car or piece of jewellery.
A gift to Jeremiah’s Journey in a will would be free of inheritance tax. So leaving us a gift also reduces any tax your family or other beneficiaries may have to pay.
What do I do if I already have a will?
If you already have a will, it is very simple to add in a gift to Jeremiah’s Journey. You simply need to contact your solicitor and ask for a codicil form to be sent to you in the post. A codicil is a legal amendment to a will for minor changes such as adding a gift to a charity.
Leaving a gift to Jeremiah’s Journey really will make a lasting difference to the local community.
