After a very long year, we were thrilled to get back into the community again and visit one of our local schools with a surprise visitor!
This year’s Bring a Bear to Work or School Day was postponed until Thursday 20th May 2021 and with restrictions being eased, we were able to safely visit Knowle Primary School to thank their staff and pupils for their wonderful fundraising efforts. This was our first school visit since the pandemic began and it was so lovely to see the delight on the children’s faces when we greeted them at the morning gates with our popular mascot, Jeremiah Bear.
The school took part in the day by wearing their own clothes and raised an amazing £234.33. Other local schools, including St Paul’s Catholic Primary and High Street Primary Academy also joined in by wearing their Pajamas and Onesies and inviting their favourite teddy to accompany them for the day. Even at home, the staff at Womble Bond Dickinson had their bears sat next to them for the occasion (including Winnie the Pooh and Bert from Mary Poppins, as pictured below).
As always, we are so grateful for the fantastic support we receive from the local community and would like to thank all of those who got involved with this year’s event. Our Bring a Bear to Work or School Day will be back again in January or perhaps you would like to join us in November for our Hug a Bear Day celebrations? Please keep an eye on our events page for dates soon.
