Torpoint and Rame Peninsula Lions Club have raised more than £400.00 so that we can help children and their families to deal with their grief.
We help families in the Torpoint and Saltash area so our charity felt close to the clubs hearts. The money raised has been used to fund 50 books about dealing with bereavement, which will really help our families.
Joanne Anning, CEO said: “We were absolutely delighted to receive support from the Torpoint and Rame Lions Club and have been able to purchase books that will help families facing specific bereavements, such as suicide and the death of a parent through cancer.”
Club president Rob Gibson, who handed over the cheque, said: “Grief doesn’t disappear overnight. It’s nice raising money that’s beneficial to the community. We’re looking to raise more money for Jeremiah’s Journey through events this year.”
We would like to thank everyone at the club for their continued support and we look forward to updating you on further events throughout the year!
