On Friday 28th November, Tavistock are holding their annual Dickensian Evening and we are delighted to announce that we will be there collecting on behalf of Jeremiah’s Journey.
The prestigious Dickensian Evening attracts around 12,000 visitors to Tavistock town centre, and marks the beginning of the Christmas festivities in the town. The main streets are closed to traffic, with all of the shops open until 9pm and a wide range of activities taking place such as: choirs; brass bands; fire-eaters; jugglers; and Morris Dancers to name just a few. The town will be illuminated with an array of Christmas lights whilst many of the shop-keepers will be dressed in Dickensian costume.
If you have never been before, why not come along! Don’t forget to come over and say hello!
