Elle Hood, aged 14, will be bravely cutting her long golden locks off tomorrow in aid of Jeremiah’s Journey!
The courageous young fundraiser is undergoing the big chop in memory of her Dad, Michael Hood, who sadly died just before Christmas after a tough battle with cancer.
Elle and her sister, Sophie, have been attending our Stepping Stones Group Sessions led by our Project Coordinator, Kim Higham, since their dad was diagnosed.
Without Jeremiah’s Journey, I don’t where we’d be today! Stepping Stones have helped us through a very difficult time and has made such a positive difference.
Elle’s initial target was £200, but thanks to the generosity of friends and family she whizzed passed this target and has raised a whopping £600 so far! If you’re inspired by Elle’s story and want to show your support, check out her Just Giving page.
The young lady has decided to also donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust who provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
The event will take place at The Vogue Hair Salon, on Ebrington Street at 2pm on Saturday 9th April and Elle and her family would love as much support as possible on the day! Jeremiah will also be there to cheer her on…
