On Saturday 5th December Jeremiah kindly invited our children & teenagers who have been through Jeremiah’s Journey along to the annual Christmas party. It was a fantastic afternoon which involved playing lots of games, getting creative & feasting on lots of delicious food, whilst the parents & carers were able to catch up with other families who they had met at our group programmes.
The lovely Judy Tregonning was on hand with her fantastic face painting to ensure those that could have their faces painted were suitably decorated for the occasion! After lunch the children were paid a special visit from Wishy Washy, the children’s entertainer who put on a wonderful magic show for them!
Father Christmas also came along & surprised the children with a present each. Our families had a great afternoon & even though someone very close to them has died it’s still really important to remember that it is ok to have fun. Christmas can be a sad and difficult time for our families because with so much focus on being together, it can be another reminder that someone special is not able to be with them.
Jeremiah, on behalf of Jeremiah’s Journey, would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers, the lovely team at Plymouth College for hosting our Christmas party & our special VIP’s Wishy Washy & Father Christmas for giving up their time to create a very festive, fun afternoon for our families. We’d also like to thank In Kind Direct for donating lots of Tigers to be given as Christmas Presents to our children & young people, they loved them!
